This Privacy Policy explains how Slashlike: Pixel Roguelike (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you play it on Android. Slashlike is a pixel-art slicing roguelike: you swipe to cut a board into pieces while dodging the foes on it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. The short version
- Your progress lives on your phone. Gimma runs no servers for the App and receives no personal data about you.
- No account is needed. On the very first start the App shows Google’s own Play Games sign-in screen once. Signing in is optional: it adds cloud save and leaderboards. You can say no, and sign in or out later in Settings → Account.
- Ads are optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob. An ad only plays when you tap to watch one for a reward. There are no pop-up or banner ads. Ad content is capped at Parental Guidance (PG).
- Purchases go through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete everything at any time; see Delete your data.
2. What stays on your phone
The App saves your game on your device: levels reached, stars, coins, upgrades, unlocked blades, boards, hit effects and theme packs, settings, playtime, local high scores with the initials you type (up to 3 letters, numbers or the symbols . - + / !), a small record of your purchases, and up to five backup copies of your save. This data is never sent to Gimma.
3. Google Play Games (optional)
If you sign in, the App receives your Play Games player ID and display name, to show who is signed in and to keep each account’s save separate. Two features then use your account:
- Cloud save: a copy of your game (the data from section 2, with its playtime and save date) is kept in your own Play Games Saved Games, so it can move to a new phone or survive a reinstall. The App never overwrites a save that changed elsewhere without asking you, and it keeps a backup before any save is replaced.
- Leaderboards: your best high score, highest level reached and Daily Run score are sent to Google Play Games leaderboards. Other players can see your Play Games gamer name, avatar and those scores, depending on your Play Games profile settings.
Nothing is sent to Play Games while you are signed out. When you sign in, the best scores already played on that phone are sent once.
4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Coin packs, premium upgrades and theme packs are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never receive your card or bank details. Google tells the App that a purchase went through, with a purchase token, so the item can be delivered.
- The App keeps a small purchase record in your save (which item, the purchase token and the date), so every paid item arrives exactly once, even if the App closed during the purchase. If you use cloud save, this record is part of your cloud save.
- Premium upgrades and theme packs belong to your Google Play account. After a reinstall or on another phone they come back through Settings → Account → Restore purchases.
- If you pay with a method that clears later (for example cash or bank transfer), the item is delivered once Google confirms the payment.
5. Ads (Google AdMob)
You can choose to watch a rewarded ad for: an extra life at game over, 30% bonus coins at game over, free coins in the shop, or a free reroll of ability picks. To serve these ads, AdMob may collect the Android advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address (used for an approximate location, not GPS), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this to show, measure and, where you allow it, personalize ads, and to prevent fraud.
- Ad content is capped at Parental Guidance (PG): no Teen or Mature ads. This is a content filter only; it does not make the App a children’s app.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland (and elsewhere where the law requires it), Google’s consent form asks for your choice before ads are personalized. You can change it any time in Settings → Account → AD CHOICES.
- You can also limit ad personalization and reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s Google settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → Ads).
6. Diagnostics
Your phone, Google Play or the Google SDKs in the App may collect crash reports and performance information. The App has no separate analytics SDK.
7. What we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or files, microphone, camera, or precise (GPS) location. There is no chat and no way to post content for other players. We do not create a Gimma account for you, and we do not sell personal information.
8. Permissions
- Internet and network state: for Play Games sign-in, cloud save, leaderboards, purchases and ads. The game itself also works offline.
- Google Play billing: to buy coin packs, premium upgrades and theme packs.
- Vibration: short hit feedback. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Advertising ID and Android ad services (added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK): used by AdMob as described in section 5, including Android’s privacy-preserving ad features (ad topics and ad measurement) where your phone supports them. You control these in your phone’s ads privacy settings.
- Background tasks (wake lock, foreground service, run after restart; added by Google’s SDKs): let Google’s services finish small jobs, such as sending ad measurement data. The App itself does not run in the background.
The App does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
9. Who handles your data
Only Google services that power the App, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google Play: app distribution and billing.
- Google Play Games Services: sign-in, cloud save and leaderboards (only if you sign in).
- Google AdMob: rewarded ads.
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

10. Children
Slashlike is meant for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of the Google Play Families program; ad requests are not marked as child-directed. The store content rating describes what is in the game (cartoon slicing of pixel monsters, no blood or gore); it is not a target age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.
11. How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it.
- Cloud save: in your Play Games account until you delete it.
- Leaderboard scores: kept by Google Play Games until you delete the game’s Play Games data.
- Purchases: Google Play keeps your purchase history, so bought items can be restored.
- Ad data: kept by Google under its own policies.
12. Delete your data
- Game data on your phone (progress, coins, upgrades, styles, settings, high scores, backups): Android Settings → Apps → Slashlike → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the App. It is deleted right away; we keep no copy.
- Cloud save: in the App, Settings → Account → Backups → Delete cloud save (tap twice to confirm; a copy stays on your phone).
- All Play Games data for Slashlike (cloud save and leaderboard scores): in the Google Play Games app or at play.google.com/games/profile, open your settings and delete Slashlike’s game data.
- Advertising data: reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s Google ads settings. This cuts the link between you and earlier ad data held by Google.
- Anything else: email customersupport@gimma.net with the subject “Slashlike data deletion”. We reply within 30 days. Gimma holds no personal data about you, so we will confirm that and help you with requests for data held by Google.
Google Play keeps your purchase history under its own rules so bought items can be restored. Nothing is kept by Gimma.
13. Your choices
- Play without signing in: everything except cloud save and leaderboards works the same.
- Sign in or out of Google Play Games any time in Settings → Account. Signing out stops cloud save and leaderboard updates and never deletes your save.
- Watch ads only when you want a reward, and change your ad consent in Settings → Account → AD CHOICES where available.
- Turn off vibration, sound and music in Settings.
14. Security
Your progress stays on your phone and, if you sign in, in your own Play Games account. Communication with Google Play, Play Games and AdMob is encrypted (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but the App keeps the data it handles to a minimum.
15. Your rights
Google may process data on servers outside your country. Where the law gives you rights over your personal data (for example the GDPR in the EU or the UK GDPR), such as access, correction, deletion or objection, contact us and we will help. For data held by Google you can also use Google’s own tools at myaccount.google.com.
16. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the new version.
