PRIVACY POLICY

Effective 30 September 2026

On your phone

Always

Your progress, Seeds, styles and settings are saved on your phone. We never see them.

Google AdMob

Only if you watch an ad

Rewarded ads are optional. In the EU and UK you're asked for consent first.

Google Play Games

Only when signed in

Leaderboards and a cloud copy of your save. Signing in is optional.

Google Play

Only if you buy something

Google handles payments. We never see your card or address.

Slice Rogue has no accounts of its own, and we (Gimma) don't collect or receive any personal data. The only data that leaves your phone goes to the three Google services above, and only when you use them.

WHO WE ARE

Slice Rogue (net.gimma.slicerogue) is a game made and published by Gimma, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Android app. Our website is gimma.net.

WHAT'S SAVED ON YOUR PHONE

The game saves your progress in its own storage on your phone:

This data is never sent to us, and we can't see it. It stays until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the game. If Android backup is on, Google may include it in your personal phone backup, under Google's terms.

ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

Slice Rogue shows rewarded ads only, and only when you tap a button to watch one:

You never have to watch an ad; the whole game can be played without one. The ads come from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software on your phone processes:

DataExamplesUsed for
Device identifiersAdvertising ID, app set IDAds, measurement, fraud prevention
IP addressUsed to estimate your country or region, never your exact locationAds, measurement, fraud prevention
App interactionsApp starts, taps, ads viewedAds, measurement, fraud prevention
DiagnosticsPerformance and crash data of the ad softwareKeeping ads working

This data is encrypted in transit and goes to Google, not to us. Only family-friendly ads are requested. Read more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

LEADERBOARDS AND CLOUD SAVE (GOOGLE PLAY GAMES)

The first time you open the game, Google Play Games asks whether you want to sign in. You can say no and still play everything; you can sign in or out later in Settings › Google Play Games. When you're signed in, the game uses Play Games for:

DataExamplesUsed for
Play Games profileGamer name, avatar, player IDShowing who set each score
Game resultsBest score, deepest stage, best comboRanking players
Cloud saveUpgrades, styles, Seeds, records, play time, purchase referencesKeeping your progress safe on every phone

The leaderboards are public: other players can see your gamer name, avatar and scores, depending on your Play Games profile settings. Your progress on the phone and in the cloud is combined automatically, so signing in never overwrites what you already have; Settings › Save data shows each copy with its date and play time. We can see leaderboard entries in Google Play Console and may remove scores that are clearly cheated. We don't receive your email address, real name or other Google account details. Google handles this data under the Google Privacy Policy. When you're not signed in, nothing goes to Play Games.

IN-APP PURCHASES (GOOGLE PLAY)

You can buy Seed bundles and theme packs. Google Play handles the payment: we never see your payment details, name or address. Prices come from Google Play in your own currency, including VAT where it applies.

Google Play tells the game what you bought, and the game keeps a reference to each purchase in your save, so every purchase is credited exactly once. Theme packs stay yours: they come back from Google Play when you reinstall, via + Seeds › Restore purchases if needed. Bought Seeds are part of your save, so keep them safe by signing in to Play Games. Purchases fall under the Google Play Terms of Service; for refunds see Google Play's refund policy.

YOUR CHOICES

PERMISSIONS

The app uses internet access and the advertising ID for the services above, Google Play billing for purchases and vibration for haptic feedback. It doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.

DELETING YOUR DATA

Slice Rogue has no accounts, so there's no Slice Rogue account to delete. To delete your data:

  1. Progress on your phone: uninstall the game, or go to Android Settings › Apps › Slice Rogue › Storage › Clear storage. It's gone immediately; we have no copy.
  2. Leaderboard scores and cloud save: in the Google Play Games app, go to Profile › Settings › Delete Play Games account & data, or visit play.google.com/games/profile. You can delete just Slice Rogue's data or your whole Play Games profile.
  3. Advertising ID: delete or reset it in Settings › Privacy › Ads. Old ad data can then no longer be linked to your phone.
  4. Anything else: email us at customersupport@gimma.net with the subject "Slice Rogue data deletion". We reply within 30 days. We hold no personal data about you, so we'll confirm that and help you with requests to Google.

Your purchase history stays with your Google account (Google Play's order history), so bought theme packs can still be restored if you install the game again. Google may keep limited ad, Play Games and payment data for security, fraud prevention, tax and legal reasons, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Google is an independent controller for the data its services process. We don't sell data and don't share it with anyone else.

CHILDREN

Slice Rogue is meant for players aged 13 and older and isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child shared personal information through the app, contact us and we'll help remove it.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold personal data about you, requests about ad, Play Games or payment data are best sent to Google through the links above; we're happy to help. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Important changes are also mentioned in the game's store listing.
