Grubmosh – Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the mobile game Grubmosh ("the game", "we", "us"), made by Gimma, handles information. It applies to the Android app on Google Play and the iPhone and iPad app on the App Store. Where the two differ, this policy says so.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The game has no accounts of its own, no chat and no way to upload content. Our only server is Gimma's refund check (section 3), which receives nothing but the identifiers of your in-app purchases. Signing in to Google Play Games or Game Center is optional and handled by Google or Apple (see section 4).
Your saved game (gold, gems, treats, chests, crowns, upgrades, pets, how far you got on the road, settings, and which Gimma social channels you visited for a reward) is stored on your device, together with a short list of your recent in-app purchases: for each one the pack, the gems it gave, when, and the order or transaction number from Google Play or the App Store. The game keeps that number so a purchase is never delivered twice. The app keeps a second copy of the save in its own app storage on the device, so a cleared browser cache can't lose your progress.
If you sign in, a copy of your save (including the purchase list) is also kept in your own account, so you can continue on another device (see section 4): on Android in your Google Play Games account (Saved Games), on iPhone and iPad in your iCloud account. Your device may also include the save in your own device backup (Google backup or iCloud Backup) if you have backups turned on.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob and Unity Ads)
The game offers optional rewarded video ads, for example for double gold or double damage for a while, a few gems or an extra chest. Ads are only shown when you choose to watch one. The ads are provided by Google AdMob, which also asks its ad partner Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) to fill some ads (AdMob mediation). Google and Unity may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID (on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking, see below) and other device identifiers,
- your approximate location, derived from your IP address,
- information about the ads you see and tap, and crash logs and diagnostic information about the ad service,
- basic device information (such as device model, language and connection type) and identifiers that the ad service uses to show and measure ads.
Google and Unity use this to show and measure ads, for analytics about the ad service, to limit how often you see the same ad and to prevent fraud. Ads are limited to content that fits the game's age rating in each store: suitable for a general audience with parental guidance (PG) on Android, and suitable for teens (13+) on iPhone and iPad. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) the game first asks for your consent using Google's consent form, and you can choose non-personalized ads. On iPhone and iPad the game also shows Apple's "Allow to track" question once before the first ad; if you choose "Ask App Not to Track", your device's advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalized based on tracking. You can change this later in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Ads that Unity Ads shows are covered by the Unity Privacy Policy, which also explains your choices and how to make a privacy request to Unity.
3. In-app purchases (Google Play and the App Store)
Gem packs and the one-time value pack are optional. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play (Android) or Apple's App Store (iPhone and iPad): we never see or store your payment details, and prices and taxes are shown by the store. The game only receives a confirmation that a purchase was completed (the product and its order or transaction number), adds the gems to your saved game and records that number as described in section 1. On iPhone and iPad you can use Restore Purchases in the gem shop to get the one-time value pack back after a reinstall. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy for how they handle payment information.
Refund check. To check whether a purchase was refunded, the game sends the purchase identifiers (purchase token or transaction ID) of your in-app purchases to Gimma's own server. They are used only to check refunds, are not linked to your identity, and are not used for tracking or advertising. Apple and Google tell the server which purchases were refunded; the server keeps only those identifiers, the product and the date. The identifiers the game sends are only looked up, not stored, and the server keeps no IP addresses, device IDs or account data. A refunded purchase is then taken back in the game.
4. Leaderboards and cloud save
Signing in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone and iPad) is optional; the game works the same without it. If you sign in, the game sends your scores (your New Game+ count and your number of kills) to the leaderboards and can keep a copy of your saved game in your own account:
- Android: Google Play Games stores the scores and the save (as a Saved Game) and links them to your Play Games profile, which has your Play Games player ID and gamer name.
- iPhone and iPad: Game Center stores the scores and links them to your Game Center profile (player ID and nickname); the copy of your save is stored in your iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage for this game), which only this game on your devices can read.
You can sign Grubmosh out any time in the game's Settings; it then stops sending scores and backing up your save. Depending on your Play Games or Game Center settings, other players may see your gamer name or nickname, avatar and scores on the leaderboards. We don't receive your Google account details, Apple ID or email address.
5. Links to Gimma's social channels
The "Follow Gimma" buttons open Gimma's YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or X profile in that app or your browser. The game only remembers on your device that you opened a channel (to give its one-time thank-you reward); it can't see whether you follow, and it sends nothing to those services. Those apps and websites have their own privacy policies.

All data sent by these services is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Your choices and rights
- Watching ads, buying gems, allowing tracking and signing in to Google Play Games or Game Center are always optional.
- You can delete all game data on the device by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the game.
- You can control ad personalization in your device settings, through the consent form where it is shown and, on iPhone and iPad, with the tracking setting.
- Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we don't hold personal data ourselves, requests about ad data are best made to Google, and about Game Center or iCloud data to Apple; we're happy to help you with that.
9. How to delete your data
Grubmosh has no accounts of its own, so there is no Grubmosh account to delete. Your data lives in these places:
- Game progress on your device: on Android, clear the app's storage or uninstall it (Settings › Apps › Grubmosh); on iPhone and iPad, delete the app. This deletes your save and purchase list from the device.
- Advertising data (Google AdMob and Unity Ads): on Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads; on iPhone and iPad, turn off tracking for the game in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. You can also change or delete what Google uses for ads in your Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com. For data held by Unity, use the privacy request options in the Unity Privacy Policy.
- Leaderboards and cloud save on Android (Google Play Games): in the Google Play Games app, open your profile settings to delete the Play Games data for this game or your whole Play Games profile.
- Leaderboards and cloud save on iPhone and iPad (Game Center and iCloud): remove the game's iCloud data in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage; Game Center data is managed by Apple, see privacy.apple.com.
- Gimma's refund check: the server stores nothing the game sends. It keeps only the identifiers of purchases that Apple or Google reported as refunded (with the product and the date), not linked to you, so there is nothing there that identifies you to delete.
- Anything else: email customersupport@gimma.net with the subject "Delete my Grubmosh data". We reply within 30 days.
What is kept: records of real-money purchases stay with Google Play or the App Store, which need them for payments, refunds and the law.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above, and for important changes we'll mention it in the game's release notes.
